Background of Rational Criteria
To enable Thailand to make a leap forward in science and technology and to align with the national strategy on ‘building competitive capabilities,’ with a focus on ‘future industries and services.’
MISL focuses on research and innovation development in ‘digital industry and services, data, and artificial intelligence.’
To make Mahasarakham University a central hub for research and innovation in artificial intelligence in Thailand, and to serve as a gathering place for national and international researchers to present their research at the international conference titled ‘Multi-disciplinary International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (MIWAI).’
Objectives
- To be a research unit with expertise in education and research related to artificial intelligence, focusing on research in Deep Learning, Multiagent, and Simulation.
- To develop knowledge in research, books, and textbooks related to artificial intelligence research and other related fields.
- To be a unit for disseminating new knowledge and providing academic services to organizations and individuals interested in applying artificial intelligence to solve problems.
Goals
- To create and develop research and innovations related to artificial intelligence.
- To establish academic collaborations at national and international levels.
- To provide academic services and transfer knowledge to organizations that wish to apply artificial intelligence to solve problems.
- To produce at least three research papers annually for publication in international academic journals.
- To produce master’s and doctoral graduates.
